Gwadar, Jan 23: A dedicated power feeder supplying uninterrupted electricity to the Pak-China Friendship Hospital Gwadar was successfully energised on Thursday, ensuring round-the-clock power to the major healthcare facility, according to the Gwadar Development Authority.
The feeder has been connected to the Gwadar grid station through underground cabling and was energised under the supervision of Chinese experts and engineers. Officials said the underground system will safeguard the line from humidity, adverse weather and technical faults, ensuring reliable power supply.
The project was completed through a special grant from the Government of Balochistan. Chinese technical teams, in coordination with GDA officials, worked for two days to complete the long-pending scheme under the supervision of GDA Executive Engineer (Electrical) Sajjad Zaid.
With the new feeder operational, heavy and sensitive medical equipment at the hospital has become fully functional, improving modern healthcare services for local residents.
The Pak-China Friendship Hospital is operated by the Indus Hospital & Health Network.
