Peshawar — Federal Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, hosted a grand dinner in honor of the journalists of the Peshawar Press Club. Despite heavy rain, a large number of journalists attended the event.
Federal Minister Amir Muqam congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the Peshawar Press Club and extended his best wishes. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa journalists in the war against terrorism, highlighting their historic role in delivering facts to the public under extremely difficult circumstances.
The Federal Minister emphasized that journalists have a responsibility to highlight the province’s issues, the problems faced by citizens, and present the true face of the provincial government.
The newly elected President Riaz Khan, General Secretary Alamgir Khan, and other cabinet members thanked Federal Minister Amir Muqam for hosting the dinner.
The event was attended by PML-N KP Provincial General Secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi, members of the Provincial Assembly, Opposition Leader Dr. Ibadullah Khan, Senators Zahid Khan and Bahramand Tangi, Provincial Secretary Information Rahmat Salam Khattak, and many others.
