Muzaffarabad, Jan 25:
President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world will observe January 26 as Kashmir Black Day with renewed determination to continue their struggle for freedom.
He said that following August 5, 2019, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed intensified military siege, restrictions, and curbs on civil liberties. Despite sustained repression, he added, the Kashmiri people have remained steadfast and refused to bow to pressure.
The AJK president stated that Kashmiris will use the occasion to convey a clear message to the world that India must adopt a realistic and serious approach instead of obstructing the Kashmiris’ fundamental right to self-determination. He stressed that changing regional and global dynamics demand urgent and meaningful progress on the Kashmir issue.
