Lahore, Jan : Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the setup of stroke management centres in all districts of Punjab to ensure timely care for patients.
The plan includes specialized three-month training for doctors and nurses, telemedicine links for consultations, and public awareness campaigns on stroke prevention. Neurologists and pediatric neurologists will be posted at all District Headquarters hospitals, with stroke centres also established at children’s hospitals.
The CM stressed the importance of “golden hours” in stroke treatment and directed immediate implementation of the programme.
