President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, passed away after a distinguished political career, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to democracy and the rights of the Kashmiri people. His body was transported from the hospital to Mirpur by ambulance with full official protocol.
The Azad Kashmir government announced three days of official mourning, during which state flags will remain at half-mast.
