Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) is ensuring prompt and effective response to emergency calls received on Helpline 15 through the use of advance drone technology. All drone operations are being monitored live via a state-of-the-art digital wall installed at the Safe City Headquarters, enabling real-time assistance and coordination with rescue services and relevant departments.
According to a spokesperson of Punjab Safe City, an emergency call was received on Helpline 15 regarding a fire erruption incident at a factory in the area of Manawan. Upon receiving call, Safe City drone team immediately reached the site. Live drone monitoring was carried out during rescue operation, which provided critical assistance to rescue teams in locating potential individuals inside the factory and ensuring their safe evacuation.
The spokesperson further stated that the drone team also responded promptly to a fire incident caused by a short circuit at a house in Johar Town area. Through live drone monitoring, effective guidance was provided to the relevant departments during the rescue operation. Additionally, during drone surveillance near Orange Line Dera Gujran Station, kite flying was detected, upon which immediate legal action was taken. In another instance, drone surveillance near Karol Ghaati in the Gujjarpura area identified smoke emissions from a factory. The issue was promptly detected through drones survelence and the relevant departments were immediately informed.
According to the spokesperson, drone-based rapid response is being ensured across the province for all emergency calls received on Helpline 15.
