QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people, stating that their historic struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination under Indian occupation remains a just and legitimate cause.
Marking Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Chief Minister said that thousands of Kashmiri men, women, and children have laid down their lives in pursuit of justice and liberty, expressing confidence that their sacrifices will not go in vain. He asserted that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without a fair and durable settlement of the Kashmir dispute in line with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations.
Strongly condemning India’s continued oppression and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the world can no longer afford to remain indifferent to the suffering of innocent Kashmiris. He urged the international community to move beyond statements, ensure implementation of UN resolutions, and play a meaningful role in securing the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Pakistan’s moral and diplomatic backing of the Kashmir cause has always remained firm and will continue with full resolve. He added that the people of Balochistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters, praying for their liberation and the emergence of a free, independent, and sovereign Kashmir.
