Food Safety Takes Center Stage as Minister Dummar Pushes Reforms, Modernization of Balochistan Food Authority

Quetta, February 4, 2026: Provincial Minister for Food and Chairman of the Balochistan Food Authority, Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar, has reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to safeguard public health by strengthening food safety mechanisms and introducing comprehensive administrative reforms within the Food Authority.
During a meeting with Secretary Balochistan Food Authority Arshad Bugti, the Minister reviewed measures aimed at enhancing institutional capacity, promoting transparency, and implementing sustainable reforms to improve the authority’s effectiveness. The meeting was also attended by Director General Habibullah Musakhel, Additional Secretary Abdul Hadi, Sardar Ehsan Dummar, Saeed Dummar, and the Provincial Minister’s Personal Secretary Musa Kakar.
The participants discussed key administrative issues, departmental performance, existing challenges, and future planning. Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar emphasized the need to elevate overall efficiency, ensure the consistent supply of safe and quality food to the public, and modernize the Food Authority in line with contemporary requirements.
He urged officers and stakeholders to work collectively and adopt a unified strategy to build a robust, efficient, and responsive Food Department capable of effectively serving the people of Balochistan.
