Quetta: Secretary Communications & Works Babar Khan conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Red Zone Security Bunkers and Concrete Wall Project in Quetta, highlighting the critical importance of robust security, high-quality construction, and strict adherence to deadlines. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen protection of sensitive government buildings and safeguard public safety.
During the site inspection, Chief Engineer Quetta Zone Abdul Rahim Bangulzai, Chief Engineer Federal Projects Dr. Sajad Baloch, SP Red Zone Hanan Achakzai, and other officials from the Communications & Works Department and law enforcement agencies briefed the Secretary on the project’s progress, technical challenges, and security considerations.
Addressing the team, Babar Khan underscored that the Red Zone is a highly sensitive area demanding stringent security measures. He stressed that no compromise will be tolerated on construction quality or safety standards and directed full implementation of all technical and security requirements. He also called for strengthened coordination between law enforcement and construction teams to respond promptly to potential threats.
The Secretary instructed continuous monitoring of the project and regular progress reporting to Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, emphasizing that the work must be completed efficiently and on schedule.
