Quetta-Peshawar Jafar Express and Chaman Passenger Trains Resume After Security Suspension
Quetta: Pakistan Railways has restored Jafar Express services from Quetta to Peshawar after a five-day suspension, marking an important step toward resuming regular rail operations. The train departed Quetta safely, ensuring reliable passenger transport across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition, the Chaman Passenger Train has also resumed its journey after five days of suspension. Railways officials reported that Bolan Mail services from Karachi to Quetta will remain suspended until February 12 due to ongoing security assessments. The temporary disruption of train services, which began on January 31, was prompted by security concerns in the province. Authorities confirmed that all safety measures and operational checks were completed before resuming services. Rail passengers are advised to check schedules and follow safety guidelines while traveling. The resumption demonstrates the government’s commitment to restoring essential public transport services and ensuring the safe movement of people across Balochistan.
