QUETTA, February 11, 2026: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has inaugurated the province-wide Tree Plantation Campaign 2026, initiating the drive by planting the first sapling at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Quetta. The campaign marks the beginning of an extensive spring afforestation initiative across Balochistan.
The launch ceremony saw participation from provincial ministers, members of the Balochistan Assembly, and Secretary Forests, Imran Gichki. The initiative is designed to enhance the province’s greenery, strengthen environmental health, and promote ecological sustainability, while also raising public awareness about the importance of tree plantation and conservation.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti urged both citizens and government officials to engage actively in the campaign, highlighting the role of collective effort in creating a greener and more sustainable future for Balochistan.
