Ziarat, February 16: Deputy Commissioner Ziarat Abdul Quddus Achakzai has highlighted the vital role of trees in preserving natural beauty and preventing soil erosion, urging citizens to actively participate in the ongoing plantation drive by planting at least one tree each.
Speaking at a ceremony held in Zandra, Ziarat, he noted that planting saplings is only the first step, emphasizing that proper care and regular watering are equally essential to ensure their growth and survival. He said sustained efforts today would help guarantee a greener and healthier environment for future generations.
The event was organized by Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Haji Nazeer Ahmed Panezai, who hosted a tea gathering in honor of the Deputy Commissioner and heads of district departments.
During the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Quddus Achakzai and Deputy Director Agriculture Haji Nazeer Ahmed Panezai planted saplings under the plantation campaign. Participants appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for joint efforts to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance in the district.
