Chagai, February 16 — Heavy rainfall in Ziarat Balanosh area of Chagai district triggered flash flooding in seasonal streams, with strong water flow reported in the Drum Bazaar channel on Monday night.
Local authorities advised residents in nearby settlements to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary movement near watercourses due to the rapid rise in water levels. The sudden surge followed intense rainfall in upper catchment areas.
No casualties or property damage have been reported so far. District administration and relevant departments are closely monitoring the situation and have urged citizens to stay away from flood-prone areas until conditions stabilize.
