Quetta, February 19 – Balochistan is fast-tracking the development of high-standard sports complexes across the province, with authorities reaffirming a strict policy against delays, technical shortcomings, or compromise on quality.
The review session, led by Provincial Secretary Communications & Works Babar Khan, convened Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, and Executive Engineers from all six zones along with senior administrative officials. The meeting focused on project progress, completion schedules, funding allocations, technical obstacles, and oversight mechanisms.
Babar Khan highlighted that these sports complexes are pivotal for encouraging healthy lifestyles, fostering talent, and providing constructive engagement opportunities for youth. He described the facilities as more than mere structures, calling them “pathways to growth, opportunity, and empowerment for Balochistan’s younger generation.” Officials were urged to address challenges swiftly to maintain project momentum.
The Secretary emphasized that construction standards and transparency must be upheld at every stage. “All projects must be completed on schedule, equipped with modern amenities and high-quality facilities, allowing Balochistan’s youth to benefit from world-class sports infrastructure,” he said.
Authorities confirmed that technical issues are being actively resolved under strict supervision to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining excellence and accountability. The initiative reflects the provincial government’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a vibrant sports culture, nurturing emerging talent, and promoting a healthier, more active future for the next generation in Balochistan.
