Islamabad, February 19 : Chinese and Pakistani employees working on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) came together to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, highlighting cultural harmony and deepening people-to-people ties.
Marking the Chinese New Year 2026, staff members participated in festive activities, including experiencing the traditional art of Chinese calligraphy, Gwadar Pro reported on Thursday.
The celebrations reflected unity and friendship, as employees from both countries shared cultural traditions and extended warm New Year greetings.
“There is no better way to strengthen our bond than by sharing our cultures,” participants noted, adding that the Spring Festival provided an opportunity to foster mutual understanding and teamwork.
New Year messages from employees of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), also poured in on the occasion. Hafiz Naveed Khalid, Business Manager of the Asset and Finance Department at SK Hydro Private Limited, shared his greetings.
“In 2025, the SK Hydropower Station celebrated the first anniversary of its commercial operation.
In 2026, we will uphold our founding mission, march forward courageously, and strive tirelessly for the high-quality construction of the CPEC.
