PSCA’s Smart Surveillance System Ensures Swift Arrest of 2-Member Motorcycle Theft Gang in Lahore

Lahore, February 17, 2026: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully facilitated arrest of two-member gang involved in multiple motorcycle theft and snatching incidents, through its advanced camera network and proactive virtual patrolling system. The suspects were reportedly involved in several motorcycle snatching and theft cases in the area of Harbanspura, targeting innocent citizens.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, a Virtual Patrolling Officer promptly identified a stolen motorcycle through Safe City smart surveillance cameras. Utilizing state-of-the-art surveillance infrastructure, the suspects’ movements were continuously monitored across different locations in the city. PSCA’s Operations Team collected digital evidence from multiple points and successfully traced the suspects. All relevant evidence was shared with Ghaziabad Police, who carried out a swift operation leading to the arrest of the accused individuals.

The spokesperson emphasized that effective use of modern camera networks and advanced technology is enabling swift identification and tracking of criminal elements. He further stated that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority remains committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to ensure protection of citizens’ lives and property.
