Lahore, February 19, 2026: The Central Zone of Pakistan Motorway Police, led by DIG Shahid Javed, has issued a strict 15-day compliance directive to all transporters to enforce lane discipline and enhance road safety. During a high-level coordination meeting with transport company owners, DIG Javed announced that any bus receiving five consecutive lane violation tickets will face formal action, and repeated violations may result in denial of entry to the motorway.

Transporters were instructed to implement effective internal monitoring systems and submit weekly compliance reports. Drivers will receive regular briefings, and driving hours are capped at five hours per shift. Full access to trackers and dashcams will be provided to Motorway Police for continuous oversight.

DIG Javed stressed a zero-tolerance policy for lane violations, warning of strict punitive action against offenders. Transporters assured full cooperation with the Motorway Police to uphold traffic discipline, prevent accidents, and ensure commuter safety across Lahore and national motorways. This directive highlights the government’s commitment to professional driving standards and modern traffic management.
