Peshawar, February 19, 2026: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, inaugurated the Benazir Nashonuma Facilitation Center at Maulvi Amir Shah Memorial Hospital to provide health and nutrition services to women and children. Representatives from WHO, WFP, and UNICEF attended the ceremony.
The program operates over 160 centers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 10 active in Peshawar. During Ramadan, BISP increased stipends under the Benazir Kafalat Programme from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500, and Nashonuma educational and nutrition allowances by Rs. 500. Digital Wallets ensure transparency and safe disbursement, facilitating financial inclusion for 10 million women nationwide. Mobile registration vans are operational in merged districts, while the Benazir Hunarmand Program trains thousands of youth for dignified employment opportunities.
Senator Rubina Khalid urged women to draw inspiration from Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s courage and to claim their rightful benefits, ensuring accountability and empowerment.
