NASIRABAD, Feb 20: A district education meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Zulfiqar Ali Karrar reviewed teaching activities, staff availability, and administrative challenges across Nasirabad.
The District Education Officer presented a detailed briefing on operational schools, teacher deployment, and institutional gaps. The deputy commissioner warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals obstructing newly appointed teachers, particularly in cases involving harassment of female staff.
He directed officials to expedite reopening of closed schools and ensure merit-based appointments within respective union councils. Effective monitoring systems were ordered to ensure teacher attendance and adherence to financial codes by relevant officers.
A special committee will examine medical leave claims of female teachers to prevent misuse. Authorities emphasized that strengthening education infrastructure and accountability mechanisms is essential for improving learning outcomes in the district.
