President Asif Ali Zardari’s Message on International Social Justice Day and International Mother Language Day

Islamabad – February 20, 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized social justice, equality, and the protection of vulnerable groups on the occasion of International Social Justice Day. He stated that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees social justice, and it is the state’s responsibility to eliminate exploitation. Highlighting the Benazir Income Support Program, he said financial assistance is being provided to one million households, while efforts continue to ensure access to healthcare, education, and food.

President Zardari underscored special measures for the elderly, women, persons with disabilities, and youth, and stressed the need for effective resource use and reforms to tackle inflation and climate change challenges. He described social justice as the cornerstone of sustainable development and called on the international community to play its role in promoting fairness.

On International Mother Language Day, the President noted that language is not only a means of expression but also a key to identity, dignity, and the preservation of knowledge and tradition. He highlighted that promoting and integrating Pakistan’s mother tongues into education and public life strengthens national cohesion and ensures all citizens feel equal and represented. The President urged the nation to renew its commitment to protecting and promoting the country’s linguistic diversity.
