Assistant Commissioner Inspects Markets in Chaman, Warns Against Overpricing

Chaman: Assistant Commissioner City Chaman Azizullah Kakar conducted a detailed inspection of various markets across the city, visiting butchers, bakers, tailors, and general stores to review compliance with official regulations.
During the visit, he examined the weight and quality of essential items including meat, vegetables, pulses, rice, sugar, and dough for bread, along with cleanliness standards, pricing, SOPs, and safety precautions. The inspection aimed to ensure that shopkeepers adhere strictly to government-issued rate lists and maintain hygiene standards during the holy month of Ramazan.
The Assistant Commissioner warned traders that strict legal action would be taken against those found violating official price lists. He emphasized that maintaining price stability of essential commodities and ensuring the availability of quality food items for the public are among the administration’s top priorities.
Azizullah Kakar stated that profiteering and hoarding would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He added that Ramazan conveys a message of sacrifice, sincerity, and patience, urging traders to demonstrate compassion and fear of God by serving humanity and refraining from exploiting citizens.
