Orders of High Court to be implemented about replacing old local buses in Quetta: Secretary Transport
QUETTA: The Secretary Transport Balochistan, Muhammad Hayat Kakar has categorically stated that orders of Balochistan High Court about replacement of the old local buses with new ones would be implemented in true letter and spirit.
The Secretary Transport was presiding over a meeting about replacing the old local buses in Quetta city, here the other day.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Provincial Transport Authority, Abdul Majeed Junejo, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Quetta Division, Ali Durrani, Superintendents of Police Traffic, Shabana Habib, Ali Nawaz Bugti and Asim Shah, President Local Bus Association, Ishaq Bazai, General Secretary, Sher Ahme dBaloch, Chairman, Shafiq Lehri, Vice President, Akhtar Kakar, and other concerned.
The meeting discussed the matters about replacement of the old local buses in Quetta city.
The Secretary Transport informed the representatives of the local bus association and other participants about the court’s decision regarding replacing the old local buses with the new ones.
The Secretary Transport directed to the local bus association and owners of the buses to replace the old buses in light of the orders of High Court.
He said that every possible steps would be taken for implementation on the court’s orders in this regard. However, an amicable policy would be devised after taking all the stakeholders into confidence, in order to implement the court’s orders.
Earlier, the representatives of local bus association and owners of the buses also informed the meeting about their reservations besides their recommendations regarding implementation on the court’s orders.
