Traffic police launches crackdown against old & poor conditioned local buses in Quetta
QUETTA: The Traffic Police has launched crackdown against the old and poor conditioned local buses operating on different routes in the metropolis.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Behram Khan Mandokhail, at least 25 poor conditioned and unfit buses were impounded during the crackdown.
The SSP Traffic said that action is being taken against the poor conditioned local buses.
He said all available resources are being mobilized for improving the situation of traffic in the metropolis. In this context, the crackdown would remain continued against the unfit commercial vehicles.
In addition to this, stern action would also be taken against the illegal vehicles as well as under age drivers besides those driving vehicles without the driving licences.
SSP Traffic maintained that it is our priority to ensure protection of life and property of the citizens and so the drivers.
Meanwhile, the Chairman Regional Transport Authority has canceled the route permits of more than 197 commercial vehicles in the city.
