Quetta, October 28, 2025: On the occasion of Black Day of Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Secretary of Information of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, met Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini at his office. Assistant Commissioner Abdullah was also present.

Mushtaq Ahmed Butt briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the ongoing state terrorism, serious human rights violations, and systematic oppression against Muslims in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that one million Indian troops, armed with modern weapons, are deployed in the valley, effectively turning the region into an open-air prison.

He said that for the past seven decades, the Kashmiri people have endured extreme oppression—losing homes, lands, and jobs, facing extrajudicial killings of youth, and seeing mosques locked while religious scholars are imprisoned. He urged the international community and human rights organizations to take practical steps to ensure the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini expressed deep concern and sorrow over the atrocities committed by Indian forces. He said the United Nations, the international community, and particularly the Islamic world should take concrete steps to hold India accountable and secure Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. He assured that the Pakistani government and people stand with Kashmiri brothers and will continue to support their struggle for freedom.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt thanked the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner, noting that the love of the people of Balochistan for Kashmiris proves that the call for Kashmir’s freedom resonates across every corner of Pakistan.
