QUETTA, Nov 3: In a continued effort to eliminate narcotics cultivation, the Excise and Taxation Department of Balochistan, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), carried out extensive operations in Gulistan’s Karez and Sagai areas under the ongoing Cannabis Elimination Campaign.
According to official reports, a total of 2,054 acres of illegal cannabis plantations have been eradicated so far. During the past two days alone, 310 acres were completely cleared, including 270 acres destroyed by on-ground teams and an additional 40 acres wiped out due to lack of irrigation water.
The ANF has registered two more cases, bringing the total number of FIRs filed during this campaign to 21. The operation was conducted using advanced drones and modern machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and coverage across the hilly terrain.
Authorities affirmed that the anti-drug drive will continue until complete eradication of narcotics cultivation from the region.
👉 Besides the ANF’s dedicated operations, the Government of Balochistan is also playing an active role in strengthening anti-narcotics measures, supporting law enforcement agencies, and promoting awareness to build a drug-free society across the province.
