Quetta, Saturday: Emergency repair work has begun on the Sui Southern Gas Company’s high-pressure transmission pipeline that developed a rupture near Mach earlier in the morning.
According to the company, its technical teams are actively engaged in restoring the 18-inch QPCEP pipeline on an urgent basis, with efforts underway to complete the repair work as quickly as possible.
To ensure continued supply to Quetta during this period, SSGC is maintaining limited (low-pressure) gas provision through an alternative 12-inch QPL line, particularly during meal times in order to minimize inconvenience to consumers.
The company has apologized for the temporary disruption and assured that consumers will be kept updated on progress, with normal supply to be restored promptly upon completion of repairs.
