First Lady BB Asifa Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari Visit General Women’s Union in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 20 November 2025:
First Lady BB Asifa Bhutto Zardari, accompanied by Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, visited the General Women’s Union in Abu Dhabi to review initiatives aimed at women empowerment and socio-economic development.
During the visit, the First Lady met with Director General of the General Women’s Union, Nora Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, appreciating the union’s efforts to uplift Emirati women. She also held a meeting with Chairperson of Strategic Affairs and Development, Ms. Ghalia Al-Manaei, to discuss ongoing programs and initiatives.
BB Asifa Bhutto Zardari lauded the union’s efforts in promoting education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for women. She specifically praised the Productive Families Employment Program, highlighting its role in enhancing women’s socio-economic participation.
The First Lady also recognized the visionary leadership of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in advancing women’s development and emphasized the need for continued initiatives to empower women at both governmental and international levels.
She stressed that investing in women’s education, employment, and leadership is crucial for overall national development and called for strong policy measures and collaborative efforts to achieve these objectives.
