PUBC Celebrates ‘Spirit of the Union’ on UAE National Day

KARACHI — The Pakistan–UAE Business Council (PUBC) of the FPCCI has extended warm felicitations to the leadership, government, and people of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of UAE National Day, celebrating the remarkable evolution of the ‘Spirit of the Union’.
Chairman Pak–UAE Business Council Diwan Fakhruddin highlighted the deep and expanding multidimensional relationship between Pakistan and the UAE. He noted that the bilateral relationship is now transforming from traditional fraternity into a modern, mutually beneficial economic partnership.
Terming the UAE’s rise as a global hub for finance, trade and innovation a source of regional inspiration, he stressed the importance of maintaining strong policy momentum to unlock the full potential of bilateral economic cooperation. He urged Pakistan to diversify exports to the UAE, focusing on value-added textiles, specialized agricultural products and IT/ITeS services.
Fakhruddin commended recent high-level investment frameworks that reflect a shared economic vision and future prosperity. He also paid special tribute to H.E. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, for his outstanding diplomatic support, facilitation of business linkages, easing of visa procedures and strengthening of people-to-people ties.
He reaffirmed the PUBC’s commitment to working with UAE authorities to accelerate major Emirati-led investments in Pakistan, ensure regulatory continuity and enhance the ease of doing business.
Emphasizing trade parity, the Chairman called for targeted export-promotion initiatives and reinforced the importance of supporting the 1.8 million Pakistanis living in the UAE, whose remittances play a vital role in Pakistan’s economic stability.
