As Directed By CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Integration Process of Public hospitals with PSCAs Latest Surveillance System Commences

On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has formally commenced the process of integrating public hospitals with the Safe City surveillance system across Punjab. In the first phase, 10 major public hospitals in Lahore and more than 35 public hospitals across Punjab have been connected to the modern Safe City surveillance network.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Safe Cities Authority, cameras installed at major public hospitals in Lahore, including Services Hospital (Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore General Hospital, Mian Munshi Hospital, and Nawaz Sharif Hospital have been linked with Safe City Control Room. Similarly, public hospitals in Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sargodha, among other major cities, have also been integrated with PSCAs latest Surveillance system
Emergency wards, indoor and outdoor departments, as well as entry and exit points of the hospitals, are now being monitored in real time from the Safe City Control Room. This initiative will ensure immediate assistance in emergency situations and enable prompt police response as and when required.The spokesperson further stated that under the advanced surveillance system, enhanced protection is being provided to patients, their attendants, and medical staff. The primary objective of this initiative is to strengthen hospitals security along with ensuring timely prevention of any untoward incident.
According to the spokesperson, in the upcoming phases, all public hospitals across Punjab will be connected to the Smart Safe City system to ensure a safe and secure environment for citizens. While the Safe City system is already effectively monitoring crime, traffic, and other urban issues, it is now also playing a key role in enhancing security arrangements at public hospitals in line with the modern requirements.
