DC Quetta directs to speed up action for repatriation of Afghan illegal immigrants

QUETTA: The Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Lt. (Retd) bin Asad has directed to all Station House Officers (SHOs) of police to speed up the action against Afghan illegal immigrants in the district on daily basis.
The Deputy Commissioner issued directives during a meeting held regarding repatriation of the illegal immigrants residing in Quetta district, on Tuesday.
The meeting participated by the representatives of Police department, Assistant Commissioners of all sub-divisions, Frontier Corps, NADRA, Population Census, UNHCR discussed the matter of repatriation of the illegal immigrants from Quetta.
The meeting decided to accelerate the process of repatriation of the illegal immigrants. It was decided to deport the illegal immigrants after their registration at the DC office.
It was also decided that the Proof of Registration (PoR) card holders would be freed for time being as the deadline for their repatriation has been extended till June 1, 2025.
Besides, the police and FC would expedite the efforts for repatriation of the illegal immigrants and no would be spared in this regard, as decided in the meeting.
Moreover, the details about transport required for transportation of the immigrants were also presented in the meeting.
