Islamabad Police gets direction for KP CM Gandapur arrest in criminal case
ISLAMABAD, Jan 06.Over consecutive failure to turn up before court in criminal case on Monday, Sessions Court Islamabad repeated arrest warrants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur who has been implicated under charges of possessing illegal arms in addition to liquor recovery years ago.
A private television channel cited saying Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti expressed displeasure over nonappearance of the accused person whereas no advocate filed any exemption application form appearance in the matter under law of the land.
During the last hearing of the case, the court directed senior superintendent police operation Islamabad to ensure attendance of Gandapur, however, the officer failed to submit a compliance report before the court.
Expressing dissatisfaction in the matter, the Magisterial court repeated the arrest order, giving two weeks time to Islamabad police to turn up before the court with Gandapur on January 21.
