QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed to the Livestock Department authorities to make the existing departmental laws the part of proposed draft of National Animal Health Bills 2024.
He directed to the concerned authorities to share the draft prepared in this regard, in the next meeting.
The Chief Minister was chairing a review meeting on the proposed National Animal Health Bill 2024, here at the CM’s secretariat on Tuesday.

The Provincial Minister for Livestock, Sardar Faisal Jamali, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Livestock, Muhammad Tayyab Lehri, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Babar Khan and other concerned high ups.
The Secretary Livestock briefed the meeting about the proposed National Animal Health Bill 2024 and told that the matters about imports and exports of the processed meat at the national level as well as the existing international norms, veterinary drug regulations and inter provincial drug regulations and other related issues have been made part of the proposed bill.
The meeting also reviewed the laws enforced in other provinces besides the legislation made there.
The Chief Minister on the occasion directed to the Livestock Department to make the existing departmental laws part of the proposed Animal Health Bill. The draft prepared in this regard should be shared in the next meeting, adding he directed.
He said that the provincial government is fully aware of the importance of livestock in economic development of the province and the objective behind promulgation of the laws is to improve performance of this important sector.
He said that the government believes in such policy and legislation which become source of more improvement in the key sector.
