Khyber, Tirah Valley: A powerful explosion rocked the Matray Dara area of Tirah Valley in Khyber district after a huge cache of explosives stored inside a militants’ compound detonated. At least 24 people were killed, including 14 militants and 10 women and children from nearby houses that collapsed in the blast.

According to police official Zafar Khan, militant commanders Aman Gul and Masood Khan had been using the compound as a “bomb factory” where weapons and explosives were stockpiled.

Eyewitnesses reported that surrounding mud houses also caved in, trapping civilians under the debris.

Pakistan’s security forces continue their operations against militant groups in Khyber, Bajaur, and other tribal districts.

While international media outlets such as AP, Arab News, and DW have reported the incident factually, Indian media has distorted the narrative in an attempt to malign Pakistan’s security institutions.
