Emergency Meeting Held in Gwadar to Ensure Urgent Water Supply for Jiwani and Surrounding Areas
Gwadar, October 9, 2025 —
An important meeting regarding the emergency water supply to Jiwani and its adjoining areas was held under the chairmanship of Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch and Commissioner Makran Qadir Bakhsh Purkani.
The session was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Assistant Commissioner Saad Kaleem Zafar, Deputy Director PDMA Makran Rehan Dashti, Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering Momin Baloch, and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, participants discussed in detail the acute water shortage affecting Jiwani and nearby localities. It was decided to initiate immediate measures to ensure uninterrupted water supply on an emergency basis.
Officials resolved that water from the Pirsun Kalatu boring site would be transported through water bowsers to Jiwani and its surrounding villages to meet the urgent needs of residents.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch and Commissioner Purkani directed all departments concerned to accelerate the water delivery process and utilize all available resources to provide maximum relief to the public.
