Kulsum International Hospital, Islamabad, has inaugurated its latest advancement in diagnostic excellence — the Siemens Magnetom Flow MRI 1.5 Tesla, a state-of-the-art imaging system designed to deliver superior scan quality, speed, and patient comfort.

 

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed, Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, who attended as the Chief Guest, alongside the hospital’s senior leadership, consultants, and distinguished guests.

 

The event commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Asif Saifullah Khan, CEO of Kulsum International Hospital. In his address, he reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to innovation, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence.

 

Dr. Omar Imtiaz Hasan, Medical Director, outlined the clinical advantages of the newly installed MRI system, emphasizing its AI-enabled precision, faster imaging capability, and enhanced diagnostic accuracy that contribute to improved patient outcomes.

 

In his remarks, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed commended the hospital’s forward-looking approach, stating that “Kulsum International Hospital’s proactive adoption of advanced medical technology sets a benchmark for healthcare institutions nationwide.” He highlighted that such initiatives play a vital role in improving healthcare accessibility and quality across Pakistan.

 

Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saifullah Khan, Chairman of Saifullah Healthcare Limited, concluded the ceremony by lauding the collective efforts of the hospital team and Siemens representatives. He announced that the hospital is expanding its current bed capacity by 30%, with completion expected by year-end, and revealed ongoing plans for the ambitious “Kulsum Medical City” project — envisioned as a premier, multi-phase hub for comprehensive medical services in Pakistan.

 

Following the formal proceedings, participants and dignitaries attended a networking lunch and toured the newly inaugurated MRI facility.
