Vice Chancellor of the University of Makran, Panjgur, Professor Dr. Mumtaz Baloch, held a meeting with Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat, Professor Dr. Gul Hassan, at the Turbat University campus on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on enhancing mutual cooperation in academic, research, and extracurricular fields. Both vice chancellors agreed to jointly organize inter-university programs promoting co-curricular and sports activities among students of both institutions.
They decided to arrange bilateral series between the football and cricket teams of the two universities. A strategy was also discussed for promoting teamwork, discipline, leadership, and tolerance among students through indoor and outdoor sports competitions.
It was agreed that the sports departments of both universities would soon finalize a joint plan for conducting team selection trials and scheduling events.
During the meeting, both sides stressed that fostering sports activities among universities such as Makran and Turbat is essential for promoting peace, brotherhood, constructive thinking, and a healthy lifestyle.
According to the university spokesperson, enhanced cooperation in sports will enable athletes from both institutions to perform exceptionally well at the national level and bring pride to their respective universities.
The meeting was also attended by Director of Public Relations Ijaz Ahmed, Director Student Affairs Engineer Chakir Haidar, Director Sports Mazhar Gachki, and Deputy Registrar of the University of Makran, Aftab Aslam.
