Peshawar, October 28, 2025
The officers and employees of the Tribal Electricity Supply Company (TESCO) have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of their esteemed colleague, Executive Engineer Babar Shaheen.
According to reports, Babar Shaheen was martyred on October 25, 2025, following a minor dispute — a tragic incident that has caused deep concern not only within TESCO but across all public-sector institutions of the province.
TESCO management noted that government officers and employees are increasingly facing insecurity even within their own areas, calling it a deeply alarming situation. The administration has urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, and Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed to personally supervise the investigation and ensure the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible.
The management and staff further appealed to the federal and provincial governments to ensure full security for all government officials so they can perform their duties without fear or threat.
TESCO stated that Babar Shaheen was a dedicated, honest, and hardworking officer who always carried out his responsibilities with integrity. His martyrdom, the statement added, is an irreparable loss to the organization.
TESCO officials expressed hope that the governments of Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will take this incident seriously and implement measures to protect public servants performing their duties in the field.
They prayed that Almighty Allah grants the martyred Babar Shaheen the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and gives patience and strength to his bereaved family.
