Major Trauma Facility Near Completion in Quetta: CM Bugti

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Thursday visited the under-construction New Trauma Centre on Spiny Road, where he received a detailed briefing from Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Panezai and Communication Secretary Lal Jan Jaffar.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that the 150-bed modern trauma centre is in its final stages of completion. With four ICUs and eight fully equipped operation theatres, the facility is set to become the largest emergency medical centre in the province. Authorities added that the project is being completed according to international healthcare standards, marking a major milestone for Balochistan’s health sector.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of construction, appreciating the coordinated efforts of the provincial health minister, departmental secretaries and technical teams.

Calling the initiative a historic step for public healthcare, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the trauma centre’s completion will significantly enhance the province’s capacity for immediate and effective emergency medical treatment. He noted that modern ICUs, operation theatres, imaging and laboratory services are being ensured as per global standards.
