Turbat, January 8, 2026 – A special ceremony was held at the University of Turbat (UoT) to distribute IGFC scholarships among deserving students, aimed at supporting academically bright students facing financial challenges.
The event was attended by UoT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Literature & Languages Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch (TI), Dean of Faculty of Law Dr. Muzaffir Hussain, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students.
Commandant Makran Scouts, Brigadier Omer Tahir, handed over a scholarship cheque worth PKR 1 million to the Dean of Faculty of Law for law students, and an additional cheque of PKR 1 million to the Vice Chancellor for students of other departments. The scholarships were restored by Major General Bilal Sarfraz, IGFC South Balochistan, following requests from the Vice Chancellor and students.
Addressing the students, Brigadier Omer Tahir emphasized the importance of education and encouraged them to focus on studies and contribute positively to the region’s development. The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to Major General Bilal Sarfraz, noting the scholarships will help deserving students achieve their academic aspirations. Faculty and students praised FC Balochistan South for promoting education, peace, and socio-economic development across the province.
