Deputy Commissioner Sibi Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai has announced that Sibi Mela Maveshian Waspan 2026 will be held with renewed enthusiasm, modern ideas, and improved public facilities. Chairing a high-level meeting, he said the festival summary has been formally approved by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, after which all concerned departments have been directed to initiate preparations immediately.
The DC emphasized that this year’s Sibi Mela will move beyond traditional formats, with departments encouraged to introduce innovation while ensuring strong security, cleanliness, traffic management, and essential services. Officials briefed the meeting on funding needs, administrative arrangements, and challenges, which Kabzai assured would be addressed on a priority basis.
The historic festival will feature horse and cattle shows, cultural programs, musical nights, fireworks, tableaux, and a women-only Mina Bazaar, aiming to provide a safe, memorable, and vibrant experience for visitors from across the country.
