Islamabad: The federal government has revised petroleum prices, increasing the price of diesel by Rs11.30 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
Following the increase, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs268.38 per litre. The price of petrol, however, has been kept unchanged at Rs253.17 per litre.
The revised prices will take effect from February 1.
Meanwhile, consumers have also been hit by an increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices, with the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder going up by Rs75.21.
Officials said the price adjustments were made in line with fluctuations in the international oil market and other economic considerations.
