Turbat, February 17, 2026: Turbat University successfully concluded Sports Week 2026 with vibrant events and enthusiastic participation, supported financially by Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mina Majid.
Organized by the Directorate of Sports, the week-long event featured competitions in cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, futsal, tug-of-war, table tennis, ludo, musical chairs, pick-and-run, slow cycle race, long-distance runs, carrom, chess, long jump, and lemon-spoon races. Students, faculty members, and administrative staff all actively participated, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and interdepartmental camaraderie.
In men’s events, Economics won cricket, Management Sciences claimed football and volleyball, Law secured table tennis, and chess was won by Muhib-ur-Rahman from Economics. In women’s competitions, Law won cricket and football, while badminton, table tennis, and chess titles went to Shireja (English), Gul Saba (Education), and Sadganj (Sociology) respectively.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan thanked Minister Mina Majid for her support and highlighted the importance of balancing academics and sports in shaping confident and skilled students. Sports In-Charge Mazhar Ali acknowledged faculty, staff, volunteers, and students for their contributions to the event’s success.
The event reflected Turbat University’s commitment to fostering talent, leadership skills, and active youth participation in provincial and national development.
