Karachi, February 22: A delegation of RK Sports Management met with Sri Lankan Consul General Sanjeeva Pattiwila at the Sri Lankan Consulate in Karachi to discuss sports cooperation and bilateral engagement.
The delegation, led by Chairman Atif Iqbal, included Vice Chairperson Irum Fawad, President Rais Khan, and Executive Member Sher Bano Syed. The members congratulated Sri Lanka on the successful hosting and arrangements of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General noted that both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are delivering strong performances in various sports. He highlighted that a significant number of Pakistani spectators traveled to Sri Lanka during the tournament and appreciated the hospitality extended to them.
Chairman Atif Iqbal briefed the Consul General on RK Sports Management’s initiatives aimed at promoting sports and nurturing grassroots talent. He expressed interest in organizing joint sports events in collaboration with Sri Lanka.
President Rais Khan emphasized the strong ties between the two countries and underscored opportunities for cooperation in sports and cultural exchanges.
The meeting concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, and a traditional Ajrak was presented to the Consul General as a gesture of goodwill.
