Joint Operation by Motorway Police and Punjab Police Recovers Kidnapped Faisalabad Trader

The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), in collaboration with Punjab Police, successfully recovered a trader abducted from Faisalabad near Balkassar Interchange on Motorway M-2. The operation was executed swiftly and professionally, ensuring the safety of the victim.
According to reports, armed suspects had forcibly taken a Toyota Cross (Reg. ATW-113) and abducted Tariq Aziz, son of Abdul Aziz, Faisalabad, transferring him to another vehicle (Prius) while fleeing toward the motorway. Upon receiving the alert, NHMP immediately mobilized all field units. Officers spotted the vehicle near Chakri, signaled it to stop, and initiated a chase when the suspects attempted to flee. The abducted individual was safely recovered near Balkassar Interchange, though the suspects escaped under cover of darkness. Both vehicles were seized for investigation.
Preliminary inquiries revealed the abductors are part of an inter-provincial criminal gang involved in similar offenses. The rescued trader and vehicles were handed over to S.H.O. Millat Town Police Station, Faisalabad, for further legal proceedings. The victim praised NHMP for their prompt, professional, and effective response. Officers involved were commended by IG Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry and Additional IG North Region Muhammad Wasal Fakhr Sultan for their swift action.
