800 closed schools made functional in Balochistan
QUETTA: At least 800 closed schools have been made functional in Balochistan as the process continues, sources of Provincial Education Department informed.
According to sources of Education Department, in all 2894 schools are still closed in the province.
It may be mentioned here that a total of 3,694 schools were non-functional all over the province three months back.
The provincial government led by the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti had started making the closed schools in the province functional.
The schools have been made functional in different parts of the province. For the purpose, recruitments of teachers have been made on contract basis.
The sources of Education Department informed that there are more than 15,000 government schools in the province.
