Anti-Narcotics Force Cracks Down on Smuggling: 5 Arrested, 122.04 kg Narcotics Seized
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on drug smuggling, arresting five suspects and seizing 122.04 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs. 1 crore. The operation spanned multiple cities, with significant seizures made in Hyderabad, Quetta, Peshawar, and other locations.
– Hyderabad: 190 intoxicating pills were recovered from a parcel sent from Peshawar to a courier office.
– Quetta: 100 kg of charas was seized from an abandoned area in Turbat, Balochistan.
– Peshawar: 16.8 kg of charas was found hidden in a rickshaw near a park on Ring Road, with one suspect arrested.
– Kasur:* A woman was caught with 1.2 kg of charas and 2.2 kg of ice near a petrol pump on Okara Road.
– Dera Ghazi Khan: 980 grams of ice were seized from a suspect on Sakhi Sarwar Road.
– Multan: 610 grams of ice were recovered from a suspect near Shah Pul.
– Attock: 150 grams of afyon were seized from a suspect near Burhan Toll Plaza.
The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under theft Anti-Narcotics Act and initiated further investigation.
