Landi Kotal Students Protest Against Affiliation with FATA University
Landi Kotal, Students of Post Graduate College Landi Kotal have announced a protest against the college’s affiliation with FATA University, demanding continuation of affiliation with Peshawar University.
Speaking at District Khyber Press Club, Student Union President Dawood, Vice President Muhammad Asif, General Secretary Muhammad Shoaib, and others stated that Higher Education Department’s recent changes threaten their future.
The students declared:
– Complete rejection of affiliation with FATA University
– Closure of college from tomorrow (Thursday) as a mark of protest
– Protest demonstration on Pak-Afghan Highway
They demanded that the provincial government:
– Maintain affiliation with Peshawar University
– Issue a notification confirming the decision
The students warned of continued protests until their demands are met, fearing FATA University affiliation will compromise their education quality.
