Chaman Administration Cracks Down on Price Hike, Ensures Compliance with Official Price List
Chaman: In a bid to curb price hike and ensure compliance with the official price list, Assistant Commissioner Chaman Muhammad Afzal, accompanied by Levies Force personnel, conducted a surprise inspection of various markets in Chaman. The inspection focused on food items, bakeries, flour, ghee, vegetables, fruits, and other essential commodities.
During the inspection, Afzal checked the weights, prices, and quality of the items, ensuring that shopkeepers adhered to the official price list and maintained proper hygiene standards. He directed the shopkeepers to strictly follow the official price list and warned that those found violating the rules would face strict legal action.
Afzal emphasized that the administration would continue to monitor the markets daily to prevent price hike and ensure that citizens received quality products at fair prices. He also stated that legitimate profits were the right of shopkeepers, but those who exploited consumers by overcharging would be dealt with firmly.
