Balochistan Food Authority Cracks Down on Substandard Food Outlets in Muslim Bagh

Muslim Bagh, Jan. 3, The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) conducted a surprise inspection drive in Muslim Bagh, resulting in fines imposed on nine food outlets for violating food safety standards.

Acting on the directives of Director General BFA, Atiqullah Khan, the zonal inspection team, accompanied by a mobile lab, inspected various milk shops and food outlets in the area. Three milk shops were fined for selling adulterated milk, while six other outlets were penalized for poor sanitation and non-compliance with food safety regulations.

According to the BFA spokesperson, the inspection drive was initiated in response to public complaints about substandard food products in Muslim Bagh. A mobile lab was dispatched from Quetta to test milk samples on the spot. The inspection team found instances of water and powder being mixed with milk, as well as poor sanitation conditions at several outlets.

In addition to the fines imposed, three meat sellers were warned about poor sanitation conditions and the sale of unhygienic meat products. The BFA has reiterated its commitment to ensuring food safety and hygiene standards in Balochistan
