Balochistan Prepares for Expected Rain and Snowfall
Quetta, Jan. 4, The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has completed all necessary arrangements to tackle the expected rain and snowfall in Balochistan.
Director General PDMA, Jahanzeb Khan, stated that rescue teams and heavy machinery have been deployed at various locations, including Kan Mehtarzai, Ziarat Cross, Khuzdar Top, and Lakpass. Rescue personnel have been trained through mock exercises to ensure preparedness.
To prevent water accumulation on roads, salt-spraying arrangements have been made. The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures.
During snowfall, motorists are urged to check their vehicle tires, ensure proper parking, and avoid leaving vehicles stranded on roads.
PDMA is equipped with modern machinery to clear snow and sprinkle salt on roads, including the Khuzdar Top.
